The Château la Petite Bertrande, Soil of Savours
The Côtes de Duras, Soil of Colours

The Château la Petite Bertrande is an estate of 25 hectares located in the extreme north of the Lot et Garonne. Since nearly 15 years, Alain Tingaud, entrepreneur in high technologies, invests and modernizes this vineyard, with the ambition to make it the reference of the Appellation.

His friend and associate Jean-François Thierry, who came to the viticulture by passion, is a vintner attached to the soil. He works the vines traditionally, and makes the wine with a permanent concern for quality.

The vineyard benefits from a remarkable grape varieties planting of each parcel according to the typology of its ground and subsoil. This subtle adequacy carried out by the forefathers and confirmed by a geological survey, gives to the wines of la Petite Bertrande more density, fullness and fruit.

The quality of these wines is frequently rewarded by gold and silver medals in the various agricultural shows, along with a regular presence of the Estate in the Guide Hachette.

The Côtes de Duras are opening up to the Market with a growing fame, thanks to a new wave of winemakers who, for 10 years, have innovated and developed this appellation, known for more than 500 years, and AOC since 1937 (AOC = Registered Designation of Origin). This appellation, small by its size but great by its soil, has the specificity to produce all the colours: red, rosé, dry white and sweet white.
